The journey begins

This morning, we finally set out for the awaited adventure. We had an ideal rainy day for traveling, after the 40-degree celsius of the previous day. We were at a comfortable pace, we drove 550 kilometers this day.

We stopped several times, among other things, to look for geocaching boxes. Erika decided that we would leave "traces" along the way. We leave our signature in geocaching boxes. The first was found in Poroszló, and the next one was in Slovakia, Lipniky. We are not big seekers, but if we go somewhere and hit an interesting crate, we collect it. Now we were looking for the simpler on the go.

We arrived in Poland in the afternoon, and at 6 o'clock the sun just started to shine finally. We stopped at a Hungarian restaurant right away. We left our country only a couple of hours, but the homesickness has brought us here :)

We ordered sausage goulash, a local specialty, Rzeszow sour soup and Gundel pancakes. There was a lot of Hungarian food on the menu and Hungarian wines. On the wall is the certificate that the owner of the restaurant also received the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit because of his work for promoting Hungarian gastronomy and wines.

Although we were preparing for a tent, because of the whole day's rain and because we could not find camping near our route, we decided to book accommodation nearby. We found the most original accommodation we could have. We found a farm where we could sleep in a real Polish farmhouse. It was as if we were in a skansen. The house could be accessed via the pinfold where two pony resides. We were told to be careful with them, because if we leave the door open, they go into the house. In the cottage the equipment was completely conventional as the residents could use it for 100-200 years ago. We were delighted to have come to this accommodation because on the way we really liked the traditional small Polish wooden houses. There are bigger houses on the farm with bathrooms, but for us who were to spend the night in a tent, this little cottage was a great comfort.
